A PEAR NEVER FALLS FAR FROM THE TREE (a Turkish idiom)

Doesn’t the pear ever fall far from the tree?
Imagine a pear tree on a precipice.
If, suddenly, a pear falls from a branch, rolls into a river, gets carried away and
finds itself in the ocean,
If it gets to a very distant continent, blossoms and grows …
Is it still the same pear?
And what if the pear tree stops believing in its existence, kills all its branches and
lets a single pear live, and the last breath of the tree becomes the first breath of
the young pear,
And if this very pear falls again onto the ground under the tree,
Is it still the same pear?
